Medway Model Flying Club
|
The weather was fine if a bit windy and over cast. The coach dropped us off by the museum and there were regular shuttle buses to transfer people down to the flying field. Numerous models were laid out along with the usual trade stands. As to be expected at a Large Model Association (LMA) rally many of the models were very large (see pics lower down the page) and there was a wide variety on display and flying from large jet passenger liners like the Comet to World War I models, and a very impressive group of 4 Wellington bombers flying. It was a good trip out with a lot too see as well as the museum which was well worth a visit. (See pics below) The only downside was the trip back. The coach left Cosford at 5pm but rapidly met traffic jams so didnt get back to Sittingbourne until well after 10pm. However much hilarity was heard from the back of the coach as certain people texted female occupants of another vehicle as well as sending certain pictures. I did ask for copies of the pics to put them here on the website however the request was declined!
