The Corner House, previously know as the Corner Stores, was the main village shop at the turn of the century. It consisted of a grocery and a well-stocked drapery store. One of the upstairs rooms was used for dressmaking. Gradually the Corner Stores business declined and the Post Office became the main village shop. |
