15. LAUREL FARMHOUSE

Situated a short walk away from Walnut Tree House, along The Street, is Laurel Farmhouse. The original cottage was built in 1545; however, the tiled and bricked front, added in the late 19th Century, almost entirely hides the original material. The outside chimney is built from Tudor bricks; the stone walls at the back and part of the timber frame are also of that period.
