& Kingsdown Society
The Society studies and promotes our Parish through speaker and social events,
sharing resources and plans to make those resources available to the school
and library. Areas of interest include history of buildings, countryside habitat,
traditional crafts and skills, names of places and much more
An active and energetic group within the Ramblers Association. The group, which was founded in 1971, offer a a wide and varied walking programme with two walks offered most Sundays. The Groups walks encompass all the parish's within the area of Ashford Borough Council, plus others further afield, covering the classic and beautiful kentish downs, weald and marsh. As well as regular walks Ashford Ramblers carry out regular fieldwork in conjunction with Kent County Council Public Rights of Way Department
