Centre of Gravity (C.o.G.)/ Balance

The balance of a model is located on most aerofoil sections at 25% of the cord measured from the leading edge of the wing.

The Balance is most critical as a nose heavy model will require significant up elevator to maintain level flight, especially on landing.

A tail heavy model will be extremely unstable to fly especially when trying to land as the controls become mushy, and virtually impossible to control if the engine stops.
