Newsletter – June 2006

We are pleased to announce that the swimming pool is up and running. We are aiming to make maximum use out of this facility while the weather is good so please ensure that your child has their swimming costume available in school. The pool is also available for hire out of school hours, please ask at the office.
Unfortunately we have had some damage and unauthorised use of the pool. This has been reported to the police. If you see anything suspicious please let us know.

Clubs currently running:
Monday – Cricket
Tuesday – Environment (currently planting vegetables)
Wednesday – No club (staff meeting)
Thursday – Spanish
Friday – Choir

You are all very welcome to our Family Assemblies every Friday afternoon at 2.50pm.

We will be visiting The National Pinetum at Bedgebury on Thursday 22nd June. This exciting day will be for all the children and is free! Many thanks to the PTFA for funding this visit. Bramley will be participating in ‘Forest Quest’ and ‘Animal Antics’ while the older children will take part in ‘Team Tactics’ involving team building games, shelter building and orienteering. Details on separate letter.

Congratulations to the 6 – a – side football squad who played four games recently at Bapchild’s tournament and managed a draw in each. Our top scorer was Kilian (goalkeeper) with one goal!

We recently had a whole-school photograph taken on a beautiful sunny day. We will be issuing one free photo for each family with our compliments. If you require additional copies (at a cost) please ask at the office.

While England remain in the World Cup we will be encouraging the children to come to school in red, white, blue or England football tops on match days. If you would like to make a small contribution on these days we will forward any amount raised to charity.
