Jennifer Rennie (nee Paul)
I lived in Doddington until 1969 when I joined the Womens Royal Air Force and moved away. Mum and Dad (Bill and Dot Paul) lived in the village until their deaths in 1982 and 1987 respectively. Dad was the local gamekeeper and was well known in the village. I now live in Camberley in Surrey with my husband, John (married 33 years this year in Doddington church). I have two boys, Marc 31 and Paul 26 who have both left home now (but not married yet)!!! My sister Pat still lives in Sittingbourne (Borden), with her son James. Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me.

The England Family (Doddington residents 1988-2004)

Greatings from the great state of Western Australia! Where the total population reached 2 million last week (Jan 05) and the total land area is about the size of the whole of Western Europe.

We are relatively recent departees having moved to Albany, WA in Jan 2004. See the newletter of Jan 05 for more news of our first year in Oz.

Just a note- near us we have towns (not really towns but a shop, petrol station and pub) called Bordon, Cranbrook, and Tenterden, all because of a Kentish surveyor who came here some time ago.

At the very beginning of the war I lived at Lady Margaret Manor when Dr Oldfield ran it. I went to
the village school.

Also living at Lady Margaret Manor were Muriel, Monica and Patricia. The first two were older than
me (I was 7) and Pat was younger.

I should like to hook up with any of them.

Peter Veazey

Greetings from the big state of texas, did you know that it would take 24 hours to drive from one side to the other ? Here is peter veazey who lived with his parents ( a former vicar ) at doddington vicarage opposite the church. much of my life i now spend here in houston running a successful air ambulance service ( look us up at airambulanceinternational.com) and getting back to the uk about every six weeks for business meetings etc.

About once a year finds me in doddington breathing the good air and remembering the peaceful days spent in the area prior to joining the royal air force for a period of 7 years and then being a chauffeur near heathrow airport for the next ten years after which i started up the heathrow air ambulance service some 23 years ago and in 99 came out here to teach the yanks how to do it. do please keep me informed from time to time at peterveazey@yahoo.com how the charity is doing and if and when money becomes available i might be able to send a donation to help.

Doddington and to a lesser extent wichling and newnham was always my home having spent the first 13 years of my life in se london as the son of the vicar.now i'm 57 and have very pleasant memories of my boyhood, i owe a lot to doddington and its people. please pass our website along to anyone interested along with my e mail address, i check it several times a day and will be happy to reply to old friends.father is well and living with mother near charing (kent) and can be reached at 0123 371 3009. just a thought you might get more hits if the word doddington appeared in your doddington website. look forward to hearing from you or anyone who remembers me from 1957 thru about 1982,
best wishes peter veazey
